Yellow Light

The moon is bright

On a summers night

At constellations I gaze

Dreams of travel

Begin to unravel

Surrounded by a foggy haze

Darkness so still

Only warmth, no chill

A euphoria that goes unmatched

Anxiety dropping

Owls at a distance

The pieces begin to attach

Reminding myself

Of my mental health

So I don’t fall apart

Acknowledging fear

Trying to persevere

So I won’t return to start
